
Cam Worthy To Play In 2015 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina outside senior receiver Cam Worthy has committed to play in the 2015 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl according to an announcement by the association Monday afternoon.
The Fourth Annual NFLPA Collegiate Bowl all-star game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the StubHub Center on the campus of California State University Dominquez Hills in Carson, Calif. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. (EST) and will be televised on ESPN2.
Worthy has started 10 games hauling down 47 passes for a team second-best 886 yards and three scores. He has authored four 100-yard receiving games ranking second only to Justin Hardy's seven, which includes a career-high and program all-time second-best 224 yards in East Carolina's 28-21 road victory at then No. 17 Virginia Tech.
During his two-year career, Worthy has appeared in 23 games (10 starts) catching 66 balls for 1,181 yards (17.9 ypc) and five scores.
Heading into his final collegiate game against Florida in the Birmingham Bowl on Jan. 3, 2015, Worthy ranks 19th nationally in receiving yards per game (88.6) and has caught at least one pass in 15-straight games dating back to the Tulsa contest last year in Greenville.
The Blair, S.C. native is the third Pirate commitment to participate in an all-star game next month joining Shane Carden (QB) and Justin Hardy (IWR), who are scheduled to play the 2015 Reese's Senior Bowl on Jan. 24 in Mobile, Ala. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
