Support ECU in Allstate #ItsGood2Be Twitter Challenge

GREENVILLE, N.C. - In honor of Allstate's tenth anniversary as a major contributor to college football through its "Good Hands®" Field Goal Net program, East Carolina University is participating in the #ItsGood2Be Twitter challenge, and is asking the Pirate Nation for their support.
For ten years, Allstate has contributed to scholarship funds at partner colleges and universities, and this year college football fans will get the chance to impact donations for the first time in the program's history.
This college football season, Allstate will give the opportunity to win $10,000 in additional scholarships to one of its partner "Good Hands®" Field Goal Net schools each week of the regular season. That's 15 chances a Field Goal Net school could win up to $150,000 from Allstate. The school with the most fan conversation on Twitter each week of the contest will win the $10,000 from Allstate.
How Does It Work?
From August 25 to December 7, East Carolina can ask fans to show their team spirit by tweeting why their college football program is the best using the following hashtags:
#ItsGood2Be
#ECUPirates
The "Good Hands®" Field Goal Net school with the most engaged fans on Twitter each week using both the #ItsGood2Be hashtag and #ECUPirates hashtag in their posts will receive an additional donation of $10,000 in general scholarship funds from Allstate.
At any point in the season, fans can see and track which schools are receiving the most engagement by checking out the #ItsGood2Be leaderboard on AllstateCFB.com/ItsGood, where the winning schools will be announced each week.
Eligibility
- Only Allstate "Good Hands®" Field Goal Net partner schools are eligible to participate in the program
Program Period
- The #ItsGood2Be program began on August 25, 2014 (12:01 a.m. EDT) and will run through December 7, 2014 (11:59 p.m. EDT)
- Weekly contest periods will begin on Monday at 12:01am EDT and go through Sunday at 11:59pm EDT
- Winners will be announced every Monday
- Donations will be paid to winning schools by December 31, 2014
Fan Engagement
- Only custom Tweets, Retweets and modified Retweets that include the #ItsGood2Be hashtag and #ECUPirates hashtag will be counted towards the weekly contest
- Any content coming from @Allstate, including Retweets, will not be counted towards the weekly contest
- All Tweets must include the following hashtags: #ItsGood2Be and #ECUPirates hashtag
- There is no limit on how many times fans can submit original content / retweet existing content during the contest
- There is no limit on how many times one school can win
- While schools are encouraged to share content on other social channels, only content posted to Twitter during the program period using the specified hashtags will count toward the donation
