GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina's home football game against Atlantic Coast Conference member North Carolina, scheduled for Sept. 20, is officially sold out according to an announcement from the ECU Athletic Ticket Office Wednesday.
All available general public tickets for the Tar Heel's visit to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium had been sold as of Wednesday morning.
The game will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) and be broadcasted nationally on either ESPN or ESPNU.
The sellout marks the sixth for East Carolina since a 7,000-seat expansion project was completed in 2010 to push Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium's capacity to 50,000.
Fans wishing to see the Pirates play at home in 2014 will have four more opportunities with contests against American Athletic Conference members SMU (Oct. 4/Homecoming), UConn (Oct. 23/Paint It Black), Tulane (Nov. 22/Military Appreciation Weekend) and UCF (Dec. 4/ECU Employee Appreciation Day and Senior Day).
Single-game tickets and three-game mini packs for all remaining ECU homes games are still available to the Pirate Nation and can be purchased by calling the ECU Athletic Ticket Office at 252-737-4500, through the Online Ticket Center, or by visiting the ECU Athletics Ticket Office.
