GREENVILLE, N.C. - Season tickets for the 2014-15 East Carolina men's and women's basketball campaigns, the first in the American Athletic Conference, are on sale now through ECUPirates.com or by calling 252-737-4500, Department of Athletics officials announced Wednesday.Renewal applications are in the process of being mailed to 2013-14 season ticket holders, but fans can utilize ECU's Online Ticket Center, reserve by phone or visit the ticket box office to make purchases by the Sept. 29 priority deadline. Preferred seating locations will be on a first-come, first-served basis after the deadline and cannot be guaranteed.
Men's basketball season tickets are priced at $374.50 for courtside seats, $235.40 for Pirate Club Priority seating and $192.60 for ECU faculty and staff. Economy plans and young graduate season tickets, for those ECU students who graduated between 2011-2014, are available for $107 each. All reserved seats will be sold based upon Pirate Club Membership levels and priority points ranking.
Coach Jeff Lebo's squad will host 16 opponents inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum, including nine American conference games with visits from reigning national champion Connecticut along with 2014 NCAA Tournament participants Cincinnati, Memphis and Tulsa. The Pirates open the season on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. against N.C. Wesleyan in the first round of the 2014 Gulf Coast Showcase.
Season tickets for women's basketball are being sold separately this season and are no longer included in the men's season ticket packages.
Women's basketball season tickets are $100.00 for courtside seats and $60.00 for the purple chairback seats in sections 201-216. General admission tickets in all other seating areas are $45.00 each. ECU faculty and staff can get general admission season tickets for $35.00 apiece. Reserved seats will be sold according to Pirate Club Membership levels and priority points ranking.
The ladies will host 13 games inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum beginning Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. against College of Charleston. Coach Heather Macy's team will play its inaugural American conference home game on Dec. 31 against 2014 National Champion UConn.
