GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Five hundred (500) graduating seniors will have a chance to be a part of the Third Annual Senior Tunnel, which will occur Saturday, November 28th at the East Carolina-Cincinnati football game. Kickoff has been slated for 12 Noon (EST) and will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
ECU Athletics is inviting graduating seniors onto the field at halftime to form a tunnel for the Pirates to run through when they take the field for the second half against the Bearcats.
How do you get to be one of the lucky 500? Seniors will have the opportunity to pick up a wristband at the ECU Ticket Office between 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23 and Tuesday, Nov. 24. Once all 500 are gone, there are no more!
In order to qualify for a wristband, you must be graduating in either December 2015 or May 2016 and must present your ECU OneCard to verify your enrollment status. At that time, you will be handed a plastic wristband, which must be put on immediately. Wristbands are non-transferrable and only students wearing a wristband will be allowed on the field Saturday.
Those students selected for the Senior Tunnel are asked to meet at the field entrance by Section 12 at the start of half time. Students will be escorted onto the field, given a gift (compliments of the Pirate Club) and put in place for the tunnel. Once the team runs out, students will be escorted back off the field.
