
White Named To The Weekly American Honor Roll

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina junior forward Caleb White has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll, the league announced Monday. It's the second time in his career that he's been named to the weekly list.
White averaged 17.5 points to go with 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists, while playing all 80 minutes in a pair of games during the week. He shot 55.0 percent from the field, making 10 of 18 field goal attempts during the week and sank 3 of 7 3-point attempts. White also made 85.7 percent of his free throw attempts, burying 12 of 14 shots at the line.
White opened the week against Charlotte by registering his second consecutive 20-point game, going 6 of 7 from the field, with a pair of 3s, and sinking 6 of 8 foul shots to a total of 20 points. He also grabbed five rebounds and handed five assists in the Pirates' 88-74 victory. Four nights later against No. 14 California, White scored 15 points, was 6 of 6 at the charity stripe and again played all 40 minutes.
The Pirates' second leading returning scorer this season, White currently ranks third in The American in scoring (18.7 ppg) and leads the conference in minutes per game (38.7).
East Carolina returns to the hardwood tonight against San Diego State at the Vejas Arena in San Diego. Tip-off is set for 10 p.m. EST.
