Macy Produces Basketball Practice Planning DVD

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina University Head Women's Basketball Coach Heather Macy, partnered with Championship Productions, announced the release of Macy's first DVD titled Heather Macy: Practice Planning Pyramid Drills.
The movie was filmed in Las Vegas, Nev., at the annual Nike Basketball Championship Clinic in May of 2015, where Macy was the lone female head coach invited to present at what is known as the premiere coaching clinic in the country.
The high-quality instructional video is geared toward teaching aspiring coaches offensive and defensive fundamentals by utilizing an implementation pyramid to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of basketball team practices.
Included in the film are transition game drills, emphasizing advancement of the ball, pass precision and how to beat any type of full court pressure. Also illustrated in the video are defensive, "Inter-State Offense" drills, as well as mental training tactics she uses to achieve peak performance from her teams and players.
Macy begins her sixth season with the Pirates in 2015-16 and owns a career record of 209-103, including a 94-64 overall mark during her tenure at ECU. During the 2014-15 campaign, she became the first coach in program history to lead the Pirates to 22 or more wins in three-straight seasons after concluding the year with a 22-11 overall record and a third Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) appearance in as many seasons.
