Jones Earns First Team All-American Nod at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - Junior jumper Avion Jones represented East Carolina at the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships as he came away with a First Team All-American selection for his efforts in the high jump.
Jones collected the second All-American selection of his collegiate career after placing third in the event as he set a new ECU school record with a clearance of 2.25-meters (7' 4.5"). His career-best mark was just 1.25 inches shy of first place.
The product of Virginia Beach, Va., has had a successful collegiate career thus far as he is the East Carolina school record holder in both the indoor and outdoor high jump, and has three conference championships under his belt.
