
Tyson Named To The American Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - East Carolina sophomore B.J. Tyson has been named to The American Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season announced league officials Monday. Tyson led ECU with a career-best 26 points in the Pirates' first-ever win at Memphis on Sunday, draining a career-high six 3-pointers. He added six rebounds and four assists playing all 40 minutes.
Tyson also had 16 points against Tulsa in 29 minutes Tuesday before having to be helped off the court after landing on his left shoulder. He made more than 53 percent of his total field goal attempts (15-of-28) and his 3-point shots (8-of-15) during the week.
Tyson leads the team in scoring with 15.1 ppg, ranking sixth overall in The American. He also ranks among the conference leaders in minutes played (32.3/7th) and free throw percentage (.747/15th).
East Carolina host Temple on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
