
Prince Williams Named To The American Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - For his efforts last week in two games, senior guard Prince Williams earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll. It is the first time in his career that he has been named to the weekly honor roll.
Williams averaged 18.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per contest and 3.5 assists per game in helping East Carolina to a 1-1 week. He led the Pirates with 18 points in the win over Temple, playing 37 minutes without committing a turnover. The following game against Houston, Williams dropped in 19 points with six rebounds and six assists in 46 minutes. He made a career-high three 3-pointers in the double overtime contest.
Williams is one of five players in The American averaging four or more assists per game and ranks sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio. He's scored double figures in four straight games, matching the longest streak of his career. Williams ranks fourth on the team in scoring (8.9 ppg) and minutes played (25.0 mpg).
Williams and the Pirates return to action on Sunday, Feb. 7, when East Carolina travels to Storrs, Conn. to face UConn at 12 p.m. The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
