East Carolina has won two of its last three games, but hasn't won a home game since defeating Temple on Jan. 27, three days after recording its first victory over Memphis at the FedExForum.
ECU has won each of the last two meetings with the Tigers, which included a 64-53 win here last season. Tyson torched the nets for 23 points in the game, while White added 11.
Tyson has scored 49 total points in his last two games against Memphis, which included 26 at the FedExForum in January with a career-high six made 3s. Prince Williams also added 20 points in that game along with 10 assists.
The Memphis duo of senior Shaq Goodwin (15.1 ppg) and freshman Dedric Lawson (15.4 ppg) is the highest scoring combo in The American, averaging 30.5 ppg. They also average a combined 17.3 rebounds per game, which ranks ninth in the country and tops in the conference.
Lawson scored 27 points on 11 of 15 shooting during the first meeting of the year with ECU.
The Tigers are coming off a 72-62 loss to Temple in Philadelphia on Thursday. Ricky Tarrant led Memphis with 18 points against the Owls, who have clinched the No. 1 seed in next week's conference tournament.
Memphis has locked up the No. 6 seed in the championship event in Orlando, while East Carolina will be seeded eighth, ninth or 10th depending on the outcome of this weekend's games.
The Pirates will face UCF, USF or Tulane on Thursday in the tournament's opening round.
