UNDAUNTED Campaign Continues in 2016-17

April 25, 2016 GREENVILLE, N.C. - Announced by the East Carolina University Department of Athletics in January of 2014, UNDAUNTED was unveiled as not only the title of the department's strategic plan but also as a theme symbolizing the Pirates' mission, vision and core values. As Pirates of ECU, we are UNDAUNTED in our PASSION, in our SERVICE, in building LEADERS, and in winning CHAMPIONSHIPS. This mantra holds as true for fans who support ECU as it does for student-athletes, coaches and staff within the department.
Given that fact, ECU Athletics will honor, recognize and celebrate those who make up Pirate Nation throughout the 2016-17 athletics calendar year in a number of ways. The first has already been introduced to the public, as the names of our 2015 football season ticket holders and pictures of students in the Boneyard were included on the recently released football schedule posters and cards, as well as on a billboard located inside Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh. These individuals are just as important to our program's success and are UNDAUNTED team members.
As the marketing campaign continues to develop this summer for the coming sport seasons, fans will remain a primary element and focus point on print and advertising materials. They will be featured in departmental videos and in television and radio commercials, and will be recognized publically throughout the year at events on the web and/or through social media. Pirate fans will also be asked to share photos, stories and memories that they believe reflect their UNDAUNTED support, or how they applied the mantra to their everyday lives.
The first opportunity for fans to share their photos and stories is now being offered in the form of a contest. The Athletic Ticket Office will feature fan-submitted photos on football season tickets this fall and is asking for Pirate Nation to submit their favorite photos of themselves with friends and family from home football games. - Paragraph in 300 words or less explaining why they should be selected
- High-resolution photo attached to the email
- Full name and contact information within the body of the email
