Evans Signs For Women's Basketball

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's basketball team received a signed letter of intent from Ryann Evans during the 2018-19 early signing period announced interim head coach Chad Killinger.

Evans arrives in Greenville from Columbia, Md., where she attends Archbishop Spalding High School. Along with playing for the Cavaliers, Evans has played for the Maryland Belles AAU program under head coach Joe McAleer.

"Ryann is a great kid who comes from a tremendous family and exemplifies the term 'student-athlete," said interim head coach Chad Killinger. "She is a player that is willing to do the little things that it takes to be successful and is fully committed to being a part of something bigger than herself."

ECU continues its opening five-game homestand on Sunday afternoon when the Pirates host Kennesaw State at 5 p.m., inside Minges Coliseum.
