Volleyball Purple-Gold Scrimmage Set For Aug. 21

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Pirate fans will get their first look at the 2018 ECU volleyball team Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. when the squad holds its Purple-Gold Scrimmage inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. Admission to the event is free.

The Pirates produced a 22-11 overall record in 2017, marking the first 20-win season for the program since 2005 as well as the second-most victories in a single season. ECU also turned in a 13-7 mark in American Athletic Conference play – finishing fourth in the league standings after being selected 11th of 12 teams in the conference's preseason coaches poll. The Pirates' incoming recruiting class was honored by PrepVolleyball.com as high honorable mention.Â

Season tickets are currently on sale for the 2018 season. Single-game tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for youth (12 and under). Group tickets are available for groups of 20 or more at $2 per ticket.

The Fall Sports Book contains 20 ticket vouchers that are valid at any ECU soccer or volleyball home match this season. Fall Books cost $40 and can be used throughout the season or to take a group to one event.
