Courtney Cash Named August Student-Athlete of the Month

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Senior forward Courtney Cash of the ECU soccer program has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Month following an outstanding August athletically.

Cash, a team captain, posted three goals and an assist during the month to help the Pirates begin their 2018 season with a 3-0-2 record. She earned back-to-back American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll distinctions after scoring goals against No. 16 NC State, Richmond and Radford. ECU earned a 1-1 tie with the nationally-ranked Wolfpack in Raleigh while defeating the Highlanders and Spiders by respective 5-1 and 3-0 margins.

A Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative, Cash completed 67 hours of community service during the 2017-18 academic year.
