OPELIKA, Ala. ā ECU fired a second round score of 295 (7-over) and currently sits in fifth place at the 2019 Auburn Regional. The Pirates (586) fifth place standing marks the first time in program history that they sit inside the cutline heading into final round action. The three-day, 54-hole event is being held at the par-72, 6,371-yard Saugahatchee Country Club.

The top six teams and three individuals that are not on qualifying teams will advance to the 2019 NCAA Championship, which will be played May 17-22 at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas and hosted by the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

The Pirates, who were tied for third after first round action, dropped two spots and are six shots behind No. 6 Vanderbilt and No. 11 Florida State which are tied for third with a two-day score of 580. No. 3 Duke (577) is first and holds a two shot lead over No. 17 Virginia (579) with 18 holes remaining.

Junior Dorthea Forbrigd is tied for ninth place with a score of 144 after posting consecutive even-par rounds of 72. She registered five birdies, two bogeys, one triple bogey and 10 pars during Tuesday's action. Senior Carley Cox (145, 1-over) Ā is tied for 12th after her second round score of 71 (1-under). Rounding out the Pirates roster are junior Siranon Shoomee (t18/146), sophomore Kathryn Carson (t51/151) and senior Kate Law (t74/155).
