
Inaugural Pirate “Baby Race” to be held at men’s basketball game

GREENVILLE, N.C. - ECU Athletics announced today the first ever Pirate "Baby Race" presented by Pizza Hut will be held at halftime of the men's basketball game on Saturday, February 29 against UCONN. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Crawling babies, 6-12 months old, are eligible to participate in the contest. The first ten participants to sign up online will be selected for the event. Interested parties can sign up here: https://forms.gle/HWvihEDGABY25uWp7. Babies will go head-to-head with other competitors as they race across 12 feet of the Williams Arena floor.
Chosen participants will be contacted by a member of the ECU Marketing Staff early next week. Each baby must be accompanied by two supervisors on the court to participate in this promotion. Props and toys are encouraged and welcome!
Complimentary tickets will be provided for participants and two supervisors. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.
