GREENSBORO, Ga. – Senior Dorthea Forbrgid (71-69-71) posted a 5-under par score of 211 at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational leading the East Carolina women's golf team to a third place finish. The three-day, 54-hole event was being held at the par-72, 6,134-yard Reynolds Landing course.

The Pirates (53-41) claimed their third Top 3 finish of the season after posting a 29-over par 893 (303-294-296). Twenty-second ranked Auburn (856, 8-under) won the team title finishing 26 strokes ahead of host and second place Mercer (882, 18-over). North Florida (896, 32-over) and UNCW (903, 39-over) rounded out the Top 5.

Forbrigd claimed her eighth career Top 3 finish and for the first time in she shot under par in all three rounds. The Oslo, Norway native carded the lone eagle of the event on Sunday at the par-5, 478-yard No. 16. She also stood among the tournament leaders in par-5 scoring (t1st, 4.50) and total pars (t1st, 16).

Fellow senior Grace Yatawara (71-74-74) claimed a share of ninth place after posting a tournament score of 219 (3-over). Her opening round of 71 ties her low round of the season which came at the Princess Anne Invitational (third round). Yatawara also finished among the tournament leaders in par-4 scoring (t11th, 4.00) and total pars (t7th, 14).

Rounding out the Pirates' roster were senior Siranon Shoomee (78-74-78=230, t35th), junior Kathryn Carson (83-77-75=235, 46th) and freshman Caroline Hermes (84-80-76=240, t55). Playing as an individual, freshman Oda Sofie Kilsti withdrew prior to the start of the event on Friday.

ECU will return to the course on Monday, March 16 when it participates in the Briar's Creek Invitational at the Briar's Creek Golf Club (Charleston, S.C.).
