GREENVILLE, N.C. - Former East Carolina defensive end Kendall Futrell has formally signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Cincinnati Bengals according to a release by the National Football League organization Tuesday afternoon.

Futrell ranked third on the team with 63 tackles (37 solo), but led the Pirates in TFLs (16.0), sacks (11.0), forced fumbles (three) and quarterback hurries (11) to earn Second-Team All-American Athletic Conference honors in 2019. He started all 12 games as a senior and tallied five or more stops on eight occasions, which included a career-best eight-tackle outing in the season opener at NC State.

The local South Central High School product played in 40 career contests (28 starts) with the Pirates and booked 119 stops (67 solo) with 26.0 TFLs and 16.0 sacks. Futrell, who opened a combined 23 games as a junior and senior, recorded at least one tackle in 34 outings and registered multiple stops 26 times.
