
Volleyball Welcomes Transfers To 2020 Roster

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Camryn Allen and Alisi Motu'apuaka have enrolled at East Carolina University and will compete for the volleyball program during the 2020 season, according to an announcement Thursday by head coach Adler Augustin.

Both entering their season seasons, Allen arrives in Greenville from Towson while Motu'apuaka attended Bryant University the first three years of her collegiate career.

- Started all 32 matches at libero as a junior, leading the Tigers to a 29-3 record, 16-0 Colonial Athletic Association mark, the CAA Tournament title and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
- Led Towson's 2019 back row defense with 416 digs, averaging a team-best 3.71 per set.
- Backstopped Towson's 2019 defense to a top-10 ranking nationally in opponent hitting percentage (.149).
- Paced the 2019 squad with 38 service aces, including a career-best four at Hofstra (Oct. 27).
- Recorded a service ace in 25-straight matches from Sept. 6 at Rutgers through the CAA Semifinals versus Elon (Nov. 23).
- Posted double-digit digs in 26 matches in 2019, including a season-best 22 against Elon.
- Earned 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-America Second-Team honors as well as Academic All-Region accolades.
- Helped Towson to a 2017 appearance in the National Invitation Volleyball Championship, tallying five digs and two aces against Syracuse in the second round of the tournament.
- The Tigers accumulated a 73-24 record with Allen on the roster.Â

- Helped Bryant to a 22-13 record, the Northeast Conference Tournament title and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament her sophomore season.
- Appeared in all 32 matches and 113 sets as a junior, pacing the team in assists per set (5.48).
- Produced double-digit assists in 30 of 32 matches in 2019.
- Tallied a season-high 38 assists in the Bulldogs' 3-2 victory over St. Francis-Brooklyn during the 2019 campaign.
- Notched six double-doubles in 2019.
- Named to the 2018 Northeast Conference Honor Roll.Â
The Pirates officially began preparation for the 2020 campaign, their first under Augustin, on August 5. East Carolina's competition schedule will be announced in the near future.
