
Pirates, Eagles To Meet In Military Bowl

WASHINGTON, D.C. – East Carolina will play Boston College in the 2021 Military Bowl presented by Peraton, benefiting the USO at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis on Monday, Dec. 27 at 2:30 p.m. (ET), according to a joint announcement by bowl officials and the Atlantic Coast Conference Sunday.

This will be the first meeting ever between the schools.

While the Pirates (7-5, 5-3 American Athletic) will be making their first bowl appearance since the 2014 campaign, ECU will also enjoy its fifth bowl showing since 2010 and 21st in program history when it visits Annapolis. In addition, East Carolina will seek its 10th championship and first since downing Ohio 37-20 in the 2013 Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The Eagles (6-6, 2-6 Atlantic Coast), who finished in a sixth-place tie with Syracuse in the league's Atlantic Division, will make their first Military Bowl appearance, sixth since 2010 and 29th overall. Boston College, who owns a 14-13 all-time record in bowl games, last played in post-season in the 2018 First Responder Bowl against No. 23 Boise State. The game was ruled a no-contest after lightning forced the game to be canceled with the Eagles leading 7-0 in the first quarter.

A block of Bowl tickets are being held for ECU Students. These tickets will be made available to purchase for $60 by ECU Students with a December 8 deadline. East Carolina students can purchase tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students must present their valid ECU ID to be eligible to purchase these designated tickets. Any unsold student tickets not purchased by December 8 will be available to all fans.

ECU's allotment of Bowl tickets are all sideline tickets with many of the tickets between the 20-yard lines – $100 tickets are located in Section 29 of the Lower Level, $80 tickets are located in Section 30 and 31 in the Lower Level, $70 tickets are located in Sections 126 and 131 of the Upper Level and $60 tickets are in in Sections 125 and 132 in the Upper Level.
