NEW ORLEANS, La. – East Carolina returns to the court this Saturday afternoon when the Pirates trek to New Orleans to take on the Tulane Green Wave at Fogelman Arena. This will be the Pirates' first meeting of the season with the Green Wave.

Brandon Johnson and RJ Felton are currently averaging 13 points apiece for the Pirates and Johnson is nearly averaging a double-double with his 8.5 rebounds per game. Felton has scored in double figures in the last six games for ECU.Â

Last Time Out
Brandon Johnson scored a career-high 27 points on 8-of-12 shooting as East Carolina outlasted SMU 77-72 on Saturday afternoon at Williams Arena in Minges Coliseum. Ezra Ausar recorded his first career double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds, both of which were career marks and RJ Felton added 18 points in 40 minutes played for the Pirates (12-12, 3-8 AAC). Jaden Walker turned in a strong performance running the point as he dished out a career-high eight assists and only committed two turnovers.

Road Woes
East Carolina has struggled to find much success on the road this season as the team comes in with a 1-6 mark in away games. The Pirates' lone road win came on Dec. 31 against Wichita State.

Scouting the Green Wave
Tulane is coming off a 101-94 overtime win at home over Cincinnati on Feb. 7. Jalen Cook and Kevin Cross each scored 27 points in the shootout and Cross added 15 rebounds and six assists. Cook dished out 14 dimes to only two turnovers as well. After scoring only 28 first half points, the Green Wave caught fire in the second half, posting 55 points and ultimately finishing off the Bearcats in overtime. The Green Wave have four players that currently average double figure scoring numbers, led by Jalen Cook's 19.6 ppg (2nd AAC). Jaylen Forbes averages 19 ppg (3rd in AAC) and Kevin Cross leads the team in rebounding with 6.2 rpg (11th in AAC) and 15.3 ppg (12th in AAC).
