GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's tennis team evened its record Friday, picking up a 7-0 victory over Chowan at the River Birch Tennis Center.

The Pirates improve to 5-5 overall while the Hawks drop to 0-5.

Ines Bachir and Alisha Hussain set the tone right off the bat with a 6-0 victory over Maria Estinvil and Manuela Jimenez before Martina Muzzolon and Isabella Rivera Ortiz took care of Feidi Abreu Rodriguez and Valentina Domenicone 6-1 to clinch the doubles point.

ECU swept through the singles matches, winning all six in straight sets. Muzzolon improved to 7-1 in dual play with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Rodriguez.

Up Next: East Carolina returns to action March 5th at Charleston Southern.
