Pirates Set To Host ECU Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina men's golf team is set to host the annual ECU Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, March 20-21, at Brook Valley Country Club.

The two-day, 54-hole event will include the host Pirates along with Barton College, Cleveland State, Dartmouth College, Francis Marion, Gardner Webb, James Madison, Marshall, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Ohio, Presbyterian, Purdue-Fort Wayne, Queens, UT-Arlington and Temple. Competition begins Monday morning at 7:40 a.m. from the first and 10th tees, followed by the second round. The final round begins Tuesday at 8 a.m.

The par-72 course measures 6,830 yards for this week's competitors.

Brook Valley is hosting the Pirates' spring home tournament for the seventh time since 2016. ECU has won the event three times (2016, 2018-19) previously with one runner-up finish (2017).

ECU will field a team that consists of Lucas Augustsson (freshman), Tyler DeChellis (sophomore), Carter Busse (sophomore), Nicolas Brown (graduate student) and Philip Linberg Bondestad (freshman). Playing as individuals are Davis DeLille (freshman), Stuart Fuller (graduate student), Connor Jones (graduate student) and Eston Lee (junior).

Brown owns the team's lowest scoring average with 73.57 strokes per round followed by Augustsson (73.75) and Busse (73.89).
