Pirates Finish Sixth At AAC Championships

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The East Carolina women's golf team carded a 13-over par 301 performance in the final round to finish sixth in the the American Athletic Conference Championship at Southern Hills Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon.

The Pirates' final score of the three-day, 54-hole tournament was 20-over par 884.

Oda Sofie Kilsti finished in a tie for 17^th after a final score of 2-over par 218 and Andrea Miralles Llopis finished 25^th with a final scorecard of 5-over 221. Danielle Modder concluded play with a final card of 6-over par 222 to tie for 26^th and Macie Burcham tied for 30^th (8-over par 224). Marta Perez shot 16-over par 232 for a 45^th place finish to round out the Pirates' five.

SMU took team honors with a final score of 25-under par 839, followed by UCF at 11-under par 853 and Tulsa at 5-under par 859. Houston (2-under par 862) and South Florida (even par 864) rounded out the top five finishers.
