GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina Director of Golf Kevin Williams has announced that Oscar Crow and Joshua Davies have committed to play golf for the Pirates beginning in the fall of 2025.
Â
Oscar Crowe, Boca Raton, Fla. - Boca Raton Community High School
Champion 2024 Florida Junior Match Play Championship … Two-time Champion South Florida PGA Brendan Cunningham Junior (2023-24) … 2024 Champion South Florida PGA Patty Berg Championship … Qualified for 2023 PGA Junior Championship … Four-time selection to compete in the Florida Coast Cup for Gold Coast Junior Golf Foundation.
Â
Coach Williams' Comment on Oscar Crowe:Â
"Oscar's athleticism is the first thing that stands out. In addition to being a tremendous golfer, he plays tennis for his high school team at a high level. Super impressed with this ability to be a successful multi-sport athlete in this day where so much specialization happens. Oscar has shown the ability to win tournaments and none bigger than winning the Florida Junior Match Play championship this summer. We are very excited to have Oscar join our program and look forward to the impact he will have on our team."
Â
Coach Cato's Comment on Oscar Crowe:
"From our first conversation with Oscar we admired his mature approach to processes and commitment to excellence. His dedication & work ethic as a multisport athlete demonstrates he has what it takes to compete at this next level. We are so excited that he will be a Pirate, and we look forward to watching his impact further our goals for this program."
Â
Oscar Crowe's Comment:
"I chose East Carolina University because it was someplace, I could see myself being excited to be a part of. What the university has to offer athletically and academically was incredible to see and made me excited about being presented with the chance to become a part of the Pirate Nation. One thing that really stood out to me was how welcoming and genuine the people at the university and in the city of Greenville were. From the coaching staff and the players to the people I met on campus and around the city, I realized that ECU became a place that I would be grateful to be at. I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity that Coach Williams and Coach Cato have given me to become a part of the pirate family and look forward to seeing what the future holds for me at ECU."

Joshua Davies, Cranleigh, England – Godalming College
Champion 2023 ProDreamUSA English Open participant … Selected in 2024 to represent Surrey County Men's First Team … Champion 2023 Surrey U18 County Championship … Two-time champion Bramley Men's Club Championship (2023-24) … Champion 2024 C.W. Roe Trophy.
Â
Coach Williams' Comment on Joshua Davies:
"Josh first caught our attention with winning the ProDreamUSA English Open in a strong field. Conversations with Study and Play representative Henry Smart, Josh's coach Sam Little, Josh and his parents strengthened our desire to have him play for the Pirates! Josh has a ton of potential, is an extremely hard worker and has a wonderful golf swing. Josh will make a wonderful impact on our team, and we are excited to have him our program."
Â
Coach Cato's Comment on Joshua Davies:
"We couldn't be more excited to have Josh join our golf program. Throughout the recruiting process we felt he had that special something that pushes him above and beyond – a little bit of an underdog grit. His resume shows his potential to play a major role in our program. We are looking forward to watching his development and seeing his contributions to the team!"
Â
Joshua Davies' Comment:
"From the minute I arrived at ECU for my visit in April, I knew this was the place for me. I am so excited to represent ECU both on and off the golf course and make Greenville my new home. Go Pirates!"
