GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina men's basketball team will seek to snap its two-game skid as the Pirates head into finals week with a contest inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum against North Alabama on Wednesday evening.Â
The game is set for a 7 p.m. tip time and the game will be streamed via ESPN+ with Patrick Johnson (play-by-play) and Si Seymour (analyst) on the call. Fans can also tune in to 107.9 WNCT FM or the IBX app to hear Daron Vaught call the action.
The Pirates are led in scoring by All-Conference senior guard RJ Felton's 18.8 points per game, which is top five in the conference and the Aiken, S.C. native adds a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game. C.J. Walker (17.0 ppg, 6.7 rpg) and Jordan Riley (13.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg) round out the Pirates' double-figure scorers.
Last Time Out
Jordan Riley scored a team-high 18 points but East Carolina could not overcome 12 made three-pointers from South Carolina as the Gamecocks defeated the Pirates 75-68 on Saturday afternoon at Colonial Life Arena. RJ Felton bounced back with a 15-point, five-rebound performance and C.J. Walker added 14 points and six boards for the Pirates (7-3) in their first true road game of the season.
Scouting the Lions
North Alabama enters Wednesday night coming off a seven-day break as the Lions defeated Tennessee Tech at home, 82-59, on Dec. 4 and had five players score in double figures led by Will Soucie's 16 points. The Lions also tied their program record for largest margin of victory over a Division I opponent with the victory. Jacari Lane leads UNA in scoring with 15.4 points and a team-best 3.7 assists per contest. Lane has scored in double figures in eight of UNA's 10 games. Dallas Howell adds 11.3 points per game and Soucie averages 10.7 for the Lions as well.Â
