
Felton Tabbed To NABC All-District Second Team

Kansas City, Mo. – East Carolina junior guard RJ Felton earned Second Team National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 24 honors according to an announcement by the organization on Tuesday.

The All-District teams were selected and voted upon by member coaches of the NABC.

Felton is the only the fourth Pirate to be named to an NABC All-District team, joining Miguel Paul (2012), Maurice Kemp (2013) and Jayden Gardner (2019-21).

The Aiken, S.C. native led East Carolina in scoring this season with 17.3 points per game (6th in AAC) and was second in rebounding with six boards per contest. He helped lead the Pirates to seven AAC wins, which was the most for the program since joining the conference in 2014-15 and back-to-back campaigns with a win in the AAC Men's Basketball Tournament for the first time since joining the league.

Felton became the 34th player in program history to score 1,000 career points in a Pirate uniform on Feb. 18. In addition to his career-high marks in scoring and rebounding, he also posted career-bests in every shooting category, steals and blocks while starting and playing in every game for the Pirates averaging 34.4 minutes per game.

His 570 points scored this year ranks sixth all-time in program history and Felton's 201 made field goals are the 10th most by a Pirate in a single season. Felton's 1.8 steals per game this year are tied for the sixth best in a single season by a Pirate and his 59 steals are tied for the fourth most in a campaign.
