
Augustsson Records Fourth Top 10 Finish Of Season

AIKEN, S.C. – East Carolina sophomore Lucas Augustsson shot a 2-over par 72 during final round action at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational Tuesday afternoon finishing tied for sixth place.
Augustsson, who recorded his fourth Top 10 finish of the year and eighth of his career, posted a 2-over par 212 during the event carding rounds of 70, 70 and 72. During the event, he finished tied for third in par-5 scoring (4.33), tied for fifth in par-4 scoring (4.03), tied for 12th in birdies (nine) and tied for 13th in total pars (35).
Joining Augustsson among the Top 20 finishers was graduate student Ethan Hall who finished tied for 11th with a 54-hole score of 214 (4-over) after rounds of 67, 73 and 74. Hall finished tied for third in par-3 scoring (3.00) and tied for sixth in birdies (11).
Junior Tyler DeChellis finished 25th with an 8-over par 218 (72-72-74), while sophomore Philip Bondestad claimed a share of 41st at 12-over par (71-74-77=222) and junior Carter Busse tied for 52nd at 16-over (81-70-75=226).
As a team, ECU finished fourth after rounds of 278, 287 and 295 for a score of 860 (20-over). Davidson claimed the team title posting a score of 845 (287-279-279) finishing 5-over par. USC-Aiken finished second (851/11-over) with Furman taking third (859/19-over).
USC-Aiken's Rory McDonald O'Brien (207) took home top medalist honors finishing one shot ahead of Virginia Tech's Daniel Azallion (208) and Davidson's Joshua Stewart (208), Azallion finished second due to a tiebreaker.
ECU returns to action on Monday, March 11 when it participates in the Tiger Invitational in Auburn, Ala.
