Twelve Pirates Named To Preseason All-AAC Teams

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Twelve (12) East Carolina football players have been named to preseason All-American Athletic Conference Teams according to announcements today by Athlon Sports and Phil Steele Magazine publications. The Pirates had five offensive players, five defensive players and two specialists garner preseason accolades ahead of the 2024 season.

Eight of the 12 players earned recognition by both publications while four in Rahjai Harris, D'Anta Johnson, Shavon Revel and Chad Stephens were named a first team preseason selection. Revel, one of three returning players who earned all-conference honors in 2023 by the leagues head coaches, was also selected as a 2024 Preseason Fourth Team All-American by Phil Steele Magazine.

The Pirates will open the 2024 season on Saturday, Aug. 31 playing host to Norfolk State. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. (ET) and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
