
Pirates Announce 2024-25 Non-Conference Slate

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina men's basketball team is scheduled to face off against nine teams inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum as part of its 13-game non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season.

The Pirates will tip-off their third season under head coach Michael Schwartz with a four-game homestand beginning on Monday, Nov. 4 against North Carolina Wesleyan. It will be the fourth straight year that the Pirates will open their season on their home floor.Â

East Carolina will then play host to Coastal Carolina (Nov. 9), Mount Olive (Nov. 12) and George Mason (Nov. 16) before traveling to Daytona Beach, Fla. to compete in the Boardwalk Battle (Nov. 21-23). The Pirates are slated to face Jacksonville State in the opening round on Nov. 21 with the opponents for the other two days of the eight-team tournament to be determined.

ECU returns to Minges for two in-state clashes against North Carolina A&T (Nov. 29/30) and UNC Wilmington (Dec. 3). The date for the N.C. A&T contest will be determined following the October 14th announcement regarding the date of the Navy football game.

The Pirates will go on the road to battle South Carolina (Dec. 7) at Colonial Life Arena before concluding their non-conference slate with a three-game stretch at home against North Alabama (Dec. 11), Florida International (Dec. 17) and Gardner-Webb (Dec. 21).

Game times and television assignments along with a finalized American Athletic Conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
