
Pirates Set for Orange & Purple Invitational on Friday and Saturday

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina track & field team is back in action on Friday and Saturday at Clemson's Orange & Purple Invitational.
The Pirates will have several top performers back in action this weekend including newly minted fasted woman in ECU history (indoors) Kelly Ufodiama and the expected season debut of conference-champion hurdler Sydni McMillan.

The team competed at the Dick Taylor Carolina Challenge in Chapel Hill a week ago. The Pirates had 17 athletes in competition in the meet.
Amaya Pleas was the highlight of the day with her 500m effort of 1:18.59 which moves her into ninth in program history in the event.
Elsewhere on the track, Andralyn Livingston advanced to the final of the 60m, finishing up in eighth with a time of 7.74 seconds.
On the distance side of things, Katrina Ford won her heat of the women's mile with a time of 5:16.81.
