Pirates Move Into Third Place At AAC Championships

DALLAS, Texas – The East Carolina women's swimming and diving team earned 293 points during the second day of the 2025 American Athletic Conference Championships moving up one spot to third place with two days remaining in competition. Rice sits in first place with 523 points, while Tulane is second at 502.

ECU had seven A-Finals appearances with Frida Zuniga Guzman claiming third in the 1-meter dive (285.60), while Olivia Templeton finished sixth (265.40). Mikayla Durkin placed fifth place in the 50-yard freestyle (22.93) and Carlie Clements finished seventh (23.08). In the 500-yard freestyle, Emilee Hamblin finished sixth (4:55.15), while Elena Dinehart took eighth in the 200-yard IM (2:03.68).

ECU's 200-yard freestyle relay team, which featured Carlie Clements, Mikayla Durkin, Laura Kellberg and Heidi Bruining, placed third posting a time of 1:31.37 earning 54 points. On the day, the Pirates also had five B-Finals appearances and five in the C-Finals.
