ECU Finishes Fourth At AAC Championships, Guzman Wins Platform Dive

DALLAS, Texas – The East Carolina women's swimming and diving team completed the final day of the 2025 American Athletic Conference Championships scoring 359 points and finishing fourth with overall with 1,177 total points. Rice finished with 1,475.5 points claiming the team title finishing 1.5 points ahead of FIU (1,474). Tulane placed third with 1,234.5 points, followed by ECU, North Texas (1,160) and Florida Atlantic (1,008).

Top performers for the Pirates: Frida Zuniga Guzman posted a championship record 310.80 score to win the Platform Diving title earning 32 points. Kaylee Hamblin finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke posting a time of 2:11.72 for 28 points. Sara Kalawska placed seventh in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:03.01 earning 23 points.

ECU's 400-yard freestyle relay team, which consisted of Mikayla Durkin, Laura Lopez, Heidi Bruining and Carlie Clements, finished third with a time of 3:20.98 scoring 54 points.
