Pirates Sit In Second After Day One At Ironwood Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team sits in second place following the conclusion of day one at the Ironwood Invitational at Ironwood Golf and Country Club.
The Pirates (+9, 585) are just two strokes behind tournament leader Virginia Tech (+7,583) after 36 holes of play. Elon is 16 strokes behind the Pirates in third place and Jacksonville and Stetson are locked in a tie for fourth at 26-over par 602.
Nicole Nash currently leads the way for the Pirates in third place with a scorecard of one-under par 143. Zoe Allaux is tied for fourth, shooting one-over par 145 and Ella Stalvey is tied for 15th after shooting five-over par 149. Danielle Modder is currently at 23rd (+6,150) and Andrea Miralles is tied for 42nd to round out the Pirates' five.
Marta Perez leads ECU's individuals, currently sitting in eighth with a scorecard of three-over par 147. Macie Burcham is in 28th place (+8, 152) with Karsyn Roberts (t-34th), Lisa Forss (t-62nd) and Grayson Warren (t-62nd) rounding out the Pirates competing as individuals.
Round three of the Ironwood Invitational will tee off at approximately 9 a.m. tomorrow.
