Pirates In Second After First Round At AAC Championship

Brooksville, Fla. –  The East Carolina women's golf team is currently in second after the conclusion of the first round of the American Athletic Women's Golf Championship on Monday afternoon.
The championship is being contested at the par-72, 6,289-yard Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club.
East Carolina recorded a score of two-under par 286 through 18 holes of play and the Pirates are seven strokes behind Tulsa for first (nine-under par 279).
Nicole Nash is currently tied for third with a scorecard of three-under par 69 and Zoe Allaux is tied at fifth after shooting one-under par 71. Ella Stalvey and Danielle Modder are tied for 16th (one-over par 73) and Andrea Miralles is tied at 42nd (six-over par 78).
Second round play will get underway tomorrow morning with the Pirates teeing off at approximately 8:50 a.m.
