April 16, 2025 | Women's Golf
Brooksville, Fla. – The East Carolina women's golf team concluded its play in the American Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship with a fourth-place finish on Wednesday afternoon.
The championship was contested at the par-72, 6,289-yard Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club.
East Carolina finished with a scorecard of 14-over par 878 after shooting three-over par 291 in the final round.
"Proud of our effort this week," director of golf Kevin Williams said. "Unfortunately, did not play as well as we have the last month of the season so disappointed in finishing fourth."
Zoe Allaux led the Pirates, shooting four-over par 220 to tie for 13th. Danielle Modder finished just a stroke behind Allaux with a card of five-over par 221 to tie for 15th. Ella Stalvey shot six-over par 222 to tie at 20th while Andrea Miralles carded a tie at 27th (+8, 224) and Nicole Nash tied at 30th (+9, 225).
"We made a big move this spring to get in the conversation for a national at large bid," Williams added. "We will have to wait and see how other conference championships shake out prior to the Selection Show next Wednesday on the Golf Channel."
