
Ufodiama Takes American Women's Track Most Outstanding Performance Honors

IRVING, Texas – East Carolina track & field's Kelly Ufodiama has earned American Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track Most Outstanding Performance accolades, the league announced Thursday.

The accolade completes a full set of trophies for the rookie out of Round Rock, Texas having won the Most Valuable Performer, Freshman of the Year and Most Outstanding Performance recognition for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

This honor, given to the athletes who record the highest-ranking marks on the NCAA performance list during The American Championships, was earned by Ufodiama for her program-record breaking 200m run of 22.69 seconds. The time, which ranks 15th in the NCAA this season, gave the sprinter her fourth individual conference title in as many tries, making her the first woman in the history of The American to sweep the four-event short sprints circuit (indoor 60m and 200m, outdoor 100m and 200m).

Ufodiama exits conference championship week ranking in the top 20 in the NCAA in the 100m and 200m and will enter the NCAA East First Round poised to punch her ticket to Eugene, Ore. for the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships. She was a First Team All-American in the 200m during the indoor season.
