
Women's Basketball Learns 2025-26 American Conference Schedule

IRVING, Texas – The East Carolina women's basketball team has learned their official 2025-26 American Conference schedule thanks to an announcement by the league on Thursday. The Pirates will play 18 league games with nine on the road and nine in Minges Coliseum.
Game times and TV designations will be announced at a later date.Â
The Pirates get to ring in the new year at home this season with home games against UAB and Memphis on Dec. 30 and Jan. 3. The team's first road trips of the season take them to North Texas (Jan. 6) and Wichita State (Jan. 10).

The team will make two more two-game swings with a home set against Tulsa (Jan. 13) and Temple (Jan. 17) and road contests at UTSA (Jan. 20) and UAB (Jan. 24) before ending January in Minges against Wichita State on Jan. 27.

A road game at Charlotte on the first begins February before the Pirates return home for a standalone game with the defending conference champs, South Florida, on Feb. 4. Another two-game road swing through Tulane (Feb. 10) and Temple (Feb. 14) sets a home stand against Florida Atlantic (Feb. 17) and Rice (Feb. 20).

The Pirates go on the road one more time in February as they take on Memphis (Feb. 25). The team's home finale will be against rival Charlotte (Feb. 28) before concluding the regular season at Tulsa on March 7.

The 2026 American Conference Tournament will be held on March 10-14 with a new 10-team five-day format at Legacy Arena at The BJCC in Birmingham, Ala. New this season, the top two seeds will advance automatically to the semifinal with the third- and fourth-place teams earning quarterfinal byes and the fifth- and sixth-place teams earning byes into the second round.

East Carolina will be looking for a fourth-consecutive winning season in 2025-26 after a 17-15 campaign a season ago. They enter their seventh season under the guidance of head coach Kim McNeill.
