Ufodiama Named Conference Track Athlete of the Week

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina track and field opened the indoor season in impressive fashion, highlighted by a program-record performance from Kelly Ufodiama, who was named the American Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week following her standout showing at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet.

Ufodiama delivered the premier performance for the Pirates, setting a new ECU program record in the women's 60-meter dash semifinals with a blazing time of 7.14. With her new time in the dash, she currently leads the nation in the 60-meter dash for the 2026 indoor season, with second place held by USC with 7.16.

The record-breaking run further solidified Ufodiama's dominance in the event regionally and nationally, as she now owns the top eight fastest performances in program history in the 60 meters.
