GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's tennis team fell to Norfolk State, 4-3, on Friday at the River Birch Tennis Complex.

The Pirates took the doubles point for the second match in a row thanks to victories by Kim Auerswald/Reese Calvo (6-3) and Xenia Jeromin/Veronika Pavlenko (6-4). Auerswald and Calvo move to 2-0 in the spring season with the win.

In singles play, the team got a pair of wins with Kim Auerswald and Reese Calvo earning 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-1 decisions. Auerswald moves to 2-0 in singles play this spring with her win.
