Pirates Take 4-3 Decision over Campbell

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's team earned a 4-3 decision over Campbell on Saturday afternoon at River Birch Tennis Complex.

The Pirates opened the day on a positive note in doubles play as the duos of Kim Auerswald and Reese Calvo and Xenia Jeromin and Lilly Lancaster helped the team shake off a court three loss with decisive 6-3 victories on courts one and two, respectively.

Into singles play, Auerswald (6-2, 6-3) picked up a win on court one before Calvo (7-5, 6-3) nabbed a result on court five to put the team up 3-2 with two courts still playing. It was Jeromin who brought it home with a 6-4, 6-3 win on court three.
