HAMPTON, Va. - The East Carolina women's tennis team took care of business on Thursday afternoon with a 4-1 win over Hampton on the road.
The Pirates kicked the match off with a 2-0 decision in doubles play with dos of Xenia Jeromin & Lilly Lancaster and Skylar Moody & Veronika Pavlenko each winning by dominant 6-1 margins.
In singles play, Ivona Savekova got the team off to a good start on court three by winning 6-1, 6-3 over Hampton's Toffee Ghorab. On court one, Kim Auerswald earned a 7-5, 6-1 win over Tanya Midzi before Reese Calvo brought it home to secure the team win, taking court four 6-5, 7-5 over Chelsea Chakanyuka.
