ECU Sits In Fifth At American Conference Championship

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The East Carolina women's golf team sits in fifth place after wrapping up second round play at the American Conference Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday. The championship is being contested at the par-72, 6,289-yard Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club.
The Pirates, who entered Tuesday's action tied for third, dropped to fifth after shooting a 13-over par 301 in second round and has carded a 36-hole team total of 594 (18-over). Tulsa (568) leads the team portion of the event after firing consecutive rounds of 284 (4-under) and holds a 15-shot lead over Charlotte (583). UTSA (589) is third followed by Florida Atlantic (593) in fourth.

Lisa Forss (74-73) and Marta Perez (72-75) are both tied for 11th with 18 holes remaining at 147. Nicole Nash posted a score of 76 and sits in 27th place at 150 (6-over), while Danielle Modder (73-79=152/8-over) and Ella Stalvey (77-77=154/10-over) are tied for 32nd and 40th rounding out the Pirates' starting five.
Final round play is set to begin at 8 a.m. (ET) and will be streamed on ESPN+ with the broadcast beginning at 11:30 a.m.
ECU will tee off at 8:00 a.m. for the final round tomorrow and the final round will be streamed on ESPN+ with the broadcast beginning at 1 p.m.
