ECU Finishes Tied For Fourth At American Championship

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The East Carolina women's golf team wrapped up its play in the American Conference Women's Golf Championship finishing tied for fourth Wednesday afternoon. The three-day event was being played at the par-72, 6,289-yard Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club.

East Carolina finished the championship with a 28-over par 892 where it carded a 10-over par 298 in the final round. Tulsa won the team title for the second-straight year with a score of 866 (2-over), while Charlotte (870/6-over) placed second. UTSA (881/17-over) finished third and Florida Atlantic (892) shared fourth place with the Pirates.

Marta Perez led the Pirates, shooting 4-over par 220 for a share of seventh. Nicole Nash posted a team-best score of 72 during the third round claiming a share of 16th with a score of 222 (6-over). Lisa Forss posted a score of 226 (10-over) for a share of 28th, while Ella Stalvey (229/13-over) and Danielle Modder (230/14-over) tied for 38th and 41st.

Charlotte's Pinky Chaisilprungruang won the individual title with a 54-hole total of 205 (11-under).
