
Nash And Perez Earn American All-Conference Status

IRVING, Texas – East Carolina junior Nicole Nash and graduate student Marta Perez have been named to the 2026 American All-Conference Team according to an announcement by the league office Monday afternoon. The Pirate duo become is the first selections since Kathryn Carson who garnered the same honors in 2022.

With their selections, the Pirates have had eight all-conference performers since joining the league in the fall of 2014. Others include Julie Boysen Hillestad (2021), Carson (2019, 2022), Carley Cox (2018), Dorthea Forbrigd (2018, 2019, 2021), Lisa Pettersson (2016, 2017) and Frida Gustafsson Spang (2015, 2016). Petterson in 2016 and Spang in 2015 and 2016 were unanimous selections.

American All-Conference honoree … Completed in all 10 events … Led the team with a 73.07 seasonal stroke average … Earned four Top 10 finishes which includes winning her second career event at the Ironwood Invitational after posting a 5-under par 211 (74-70-67) … Named American Conference Golfer of the Week for the second time in her career following medalist honors at Ironwood Invitational … Finished tied for seventh in first event of the season at the Golfweek Fall Challenge with a score of 212 (1-under) … Followed that with a share of eighth at the Tot Hill Farms Invitational (148/4-over) … Placed second at the Pirate Collegiate Classic with a career-low 54-hole total of 209 (7-under) that consisted of round of 72, 72 and 65 – the latter being a career-low round … Closed out the fall with a share of 14th at the Edisto Island Intercollegiate posting a score of 224 (11-over) … Added sixth Top 15 finish of the season at the City of Oaks Collegiate with a share of 12th following rounds of 7, 74 and 76 for an 11-over 227 … Claimed a share of 16th place at the American Championships carding a 6-over par 222 (74-76-72) … In 28 rounds, shot even par or better 11 times with three rounds in. the 60's.
