June 10, 2026 | Volleyball
GREENVILLE, N.C. – Following a challenging non-conference slate, East Carolina Volleyball will begin its 2026 American Conference schedule on Sept. 23 when the Pirates host Charlotte inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.Â
The conference schedule features 14 matches, including seven home contests and seven road matches, as ECU looks to compete for positioning in the American Conference standings throughout the fall. The Pirates will face a balanced league slate that includes matchups against conference newcomers and longtime league rivals.Â
East Carolina opens conference play with Charlotte on Sept. 23 before making its first road trip of league action to face Rice on Sept. 25. The Pirates return home the following week to host North Texas on Oct. 2 and UTSA on Oct. 4 in a pivotal early-season conference homestand.Â
The middle portion of the schedule features road contests at Charlotte, UAB, Memphis and Tulane, while ECU will welcome Florida Atlantic, Wichita State, Temple, South Florida and Tulsa to Greenville. The Pirates' matchup against Wichita State on Oct. 23 highlights a stretch of four consecutive conference weekends that could play a major role in shaping the league standings heading into November.Â
ECU enters the final month of the regular season with three of its final five matches at home, beginning with Temple on Oct. 30 and South Florida on Nov. 1. The Pirates will then host Tulsa on Nov. 8 before closing the regular season with road matches at Florida Atlantic and South Florida on Nov. 13 and Nov. 15, respectively.Â
The conference schedule presents East Carolina with opportunities against several of the American's top programs and provides a strong test throughout the fall as the Pirates pursue a spot in the conference postseason tournament.Â
With seven matches scheduled inside Minges Coliseum, Pirate Nation will play an important role in helping ECU navigate one of the nation's most competitive volleyball conferences.Â
