Abby Osmundson Joins Volleyball Staff as Assistant Coach and Director of Operations

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Abby Osmundson joins the East Carolina Volleyball program as an Assistant Coach, as well as the Director of Operations for the 2026 season, and the seventh season under Adler Augustin. Â
Abby joins the East Carolina volleyball program as Assistant Volleyball Coach and Director of Volleyball Operations, bringing more than 15 years of coaching, analytics and volleyball operations experience at the high school, club and NCAA Division I levels.Â
Most recently, Abby served as Technical Coordinator at the University of North Dakota during the 2025 season. In that role, she managed the program's practice and match technology operations, overseeing DataVolley, VolleyMetrics, video analysis workflows and live match coding. She also produced detailed scouting and statistical reports, conducted opponent analysis using RStudio and collaborated closely with the coaching staff on match preparation, tactical planning, recruiting operations and the day-to-day management of the program.Â
In addition to her collegiate experience, Abby has built an extensive coaching résumé in the club and high school ranks. She spent 10 seasons with Minnesota Select Volleyball Club and three seasons at Maple Grove Senior High School, helping develop student-athletes at multiple competitive levels. Since 2023, she has also been a part of the USA Volleyball High Performance pipeline, serving as an assistant coach for the High Performance NCR All-Stars while contributing to elite athlete development through regional and national training events.Â
A former NCAA student-athlete, Abby earned a bachelor's degree in Sport Management from North Central University before completing a master's degree in Kinesiology at Southeastern University.
