ECU Set To Open Season At The Tiger Classic

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team will open the 2026-2 season Monday, Aug. 24 when it competes in the Tiger Classic. The one-day, 36-hole event is being held at The Walker Golf Course with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (par 72; 6,276 yards).
Kevin Williams, who is in the sixth year of his second stint with the Pirates, served as the Pirates' head coach from 1995-2005 before exclusively taking over the head coaching duties of the ECU women's program, which he started from scratch in 2000, the following year. He returned in June of 2021 guiding the Pirates to four top four finishes including a win at the Pirate Collegiate Classic.
A year ago, ECU recorded seven top five placements which included a pair of home wins at the Pirate Collegiate Classic and the Ironwood Invitational. Kathryn Carson, who was named an assistant coach in July of 2023, will assist Williams once again this season.
ECU will use a roster consisting of Nicole Nash (No. 1), Hannah Barrett (No. 2), Isabella Taylor-Stokes (No. 3), Louise Krawiec (No. 4) and Lisa Forss (No. 5). Playing as individuals are Ella Stalvey, Hallie Wilson and Madison Rizzo.
