Bio
Expected to play a more prominent role on the Pirates’ offensive unit after experiencing a full year in the ECU program following a transfer from UCLA midway through preseason training camp in 2019 … Holds a two-deep position at one of the outside receiving positions and could also be a top-tier special teams contributor … Did not experience game-day action during career with Bruins, which included one bowl appearance and a 13-24 overall record during stay in Los Angeles … Is the first Pac-12 Conference transfer to join the ECU program since 2016 (RB Jeffrey Coprich/Cal-Berkeley)
2019: Appeared in 11 games as a reserve on ECU’s wide receiver’s corps … Battled through a slow acclimation process after being officially cleared to participate (in preseason camp) on August 14 following graduation from UCLA … Finished year with a total of five receptions for 114 yards and one touchdown … Averaged 22.8 yards per catch … Recorded first grab as a Pirate with a season-long 37-yarder at NC State in the opener but was held without a reception in the next eight outings … Enjoyed most productive game of the year playing in front of family with a personal-best four-catch, 77-yard effort at SMU in Dallas … Also on receiving end of only touchdown of the season vs. Mustangs, snaring a 22-yarder from Holton Ahlers late in the fourth quarter … In all, was targeted eight times and accounted for four first downs … Did not play at Connecticut in road finale.
2018: Did not play during UCLA’s fall schedule (while completing injury rehabilitation), which resulted in a 3-9 record.
2017: Spent entire campaign on disabled list and did not experience action … Bruins completed the season with a 6-7 ledger, which included a 35-17 setback to Kansas State in the Cactus Bowl.
2016: Redshirted as a true freshman, contributing on scout teams as UCLA compiled a 4-8 mark.
High School: Starred at Plano East, where he was listed by ESPN.com as a four-star prospect and the No. 48 wide receiver in the nation ... Included among ESPN.com’s Top 300 list ... In addition to UCLA, also reportedly recruited by Arkansas, California, Colorado, Duke, Houston, Illinois, Iowa, Miami, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and Washington among others … Earned additional letters as a track standout for the Panthers.
